Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on December 8 in Union Cabinet briefing said, “Union Cabinet approves continuation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin scheme till March 2024. This will help achieve the target of 2.95 crore pakka houses with basic amenities in rural India.” “The project will speed up development in Bundelkhand region, will improve the social and financial conditions of the people of that region. Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved the funding and implementation of the Ken-Betwa inter-linking of rivers project. The total cost of the project was assessed at Rs 44,605 crore; central support of Rs. 39,317 crore approved by the Cabinet.” he added.
